Amazon manager shot dead in Delhi’s Bhajanpura, friend injured in midnight shooting

All the five assailants are on the run while police remains clueless about their identity & intentions behind midnight murder.

New Delhi: A 36-year-old man was shot dead by armed assailants in Delhi’s Bhajanpura area last night. The person, working with e-commerce giant Amazon, died on the spot in fatal firing.

This comes as yet another grim reminder of poor policing in the national capital and how the criminals have gone on the loose.

The incident happened on Tuesday night, when Amazon manager Harpreet Gill was riding a bike with one of his friends near Subhash Vihar in Bhajanpura area.

According to police, five bike-borne assailants intercepted them and opened fire. One of the bullets hit Harpreet ‘s head and he collapse on the spot while his friend Govind received bullet injuries in firing. He is currently being treated at LNJP hospital.

All the five assailants are on the run while police remains clueless about their identity & intentions behind midnight murder.

Police is currently scanning the CCTV footage of the area, to find out whereabouts of criminals and also some possible hints on how to track the criminals.

The rising incidents of criminals running amok in the city has become a concern for the city administration. Just a day ago, a 22-year old man was stabbed to death in Central, after a quarrel. The incident happened near the Delhi
