New Delhi: In a major embarrassment for top Congress leadership, the rebel party MLA from Rae Bareli (Sadar) Aditi Singh has levelled direct allegations of misconduct and irregularities in the ‘family-run’ Kamla Nehru Education Society.
Rebel MLA has written a letter to the Economic Offence Wing and demanded investigation into alleged financial irregularities in the Kamla Nehru Educational Society, which she claims is the family-run and controlled society.
Aditi Singh claims that decades ago, 5 bighas of government land was alloted to the Kamla Nehru trust for building a women’s degree college and empower them with education but even after 40 years, the land remains un-utilized.
“Now, the Trust, which houses many Congress leaders is in process of selling this land at exorbitant rates”, Aditi said. The MLA demanded that fraud by Kamala Nehru Education Society must be investigated as it didn’t fulfil promises and now rather looking at ways to rake in moolah.
pic.twitter.com/xaZ7nZkYLs

In the letter to EOW, she has claimed several irregularities in the professional and financial activities of the trust. Terming it as a “bogus society”, she accused the Kamla Nehru Education Society of harassing the common person.
“The land now has about 112 families residing and working there, 600-700 people have their homes and residences and they have been there for 30-45 years. Now, society is making sale agreements with different parties of the land. I want to question whether they acquired the land to make profits out of it?,” Aditi Singh reportedly told Times Now.
Taking a dig at Congress, she tweeted, “Ironically, my colleagues & seniors question PM Cares Fund but shy away from maintain transparency & accountability in their own family run & controlled societies.”
