As Satya Pal Malik trends over explosive claims, netizens dig out his old VIDEOs of ‘flip-flops’

Ex-J&K governor’s sensational claims on Pulwama gave much political fodder & ammunition to opposition parties to take on the Centre but many are finding it hard to digest it as truth and see it as politically motivated.

New Delhi: Former Jammu & Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik hogged the nation’s attention on Saturday, with his explosive claims on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection to 2019 Pulwama terror attack.

The veteran politician trended at the top of social media as he put the Modi government in dock over terror attack and also sought to paint a damning picture of Prime Minister & his closest advisors.

His sensational allegations were lapped up by the Ecosystem & Left lobby but netizens were quick enough to call out doublespeak of the former governor.

A couple of netizens dug out his old videos, with statements on PM Modi & Rahul Gandhi but contrary to what he said in this one & before. Many called it a flip-flop by the Ex-governor and saw a motive behind it for reaping political dividends.

The 76-year-old politician, in conversation with news portal The Wire, blamed the Modi government for Pulwama attack and listed out its ‘loopholes & lapses’ which led to killing of 40 CRPF jawans.

Satya Pal Malik served as the last Governor of Jammu & Kashmir from Aug 2018 to October 2019. It was during his tenure that the Article 370 was abrogated, stripping the state of its special status & turning into a Union Territory.

Backlash against Malik’s ‘motivated’ claims

Ex-J&K governor’s sensational claims on Pulwama gave much political fodder & ammunition to opposition parties to take on the Centre but many are finding it hard to digest it as truth and see it as politically motivated.

His conflicting statements, flip-flops on PM Modi & Rahul Gandhi and lies on Amit Shah is drawing a lot of backlash for him.

In one of the videos, Malik (purportedly during his stint as J&K governor) praises PM Modi’s visionary leadership & Centre’s unprecedented development package for Jammu & Kashmir, however, in latest interview to a portal he says that Prime Minister is ‘ill-informed’ & ‘ignorant’ about the issues of Kashmir.

U-turn on Rahul?

Another video shows Malik’s conflicting statements on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. In an earlier statement, Malik calls Rahul a ‘political juvenile’ from an acclaimed family who couldn’t tap the pulse of people and if he goes to Kashmir, the party will be greeted with ‘shoe garland’.

In latest interview, Malik described Rahul Gandhi as a strong leader whose straight talk is making Modi govt uncomfortable. He also praised Rahul’s ‘padyatra’ & his spectacular rally in snow-clad Srinagar streets.

Malik may have his reasons for differing views at different times but people have started questioning his political ambitions. Some are calling him a new ‘palturam of politics’ while others saw it as a U-turn for personal gains.

Lies on Amit Shah? Cooked stories on PM?

The biggest brickbat that the former J&K governor is facing online is for ‘cooking up’ story on PM Modi & retracting statement on Union Home Minister. As reported by Political Kida, Malik claims in the interview that he lied about Amit Shah. He withdrew his statement on Amit Shah and admitted that he gave a falsified statement.

Last year, he had said that Amit Shah told him that Narendra Modi has ‘lost his mind’and he must keep meeting him.

“I absolutely lied about the statement. He never said anything to me. I take this back,” Malik reportedly told the anchor.
