Asaduddin Owaisi denied room at a Muradabad hotel, leaders exchange barb

Ahead of elections, AIMIM workers & his supporters went to book a room at the hotel but they were denied any accommodation by the hotel owner.

New Delhi: In an embarrassing development, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi was denied stay at a Muradabad hotel.

Ahead of elections, AIMIM workers & his supporters went to book a room at the hotel but they were denied any accommodation by the hotel owner.

Owaisi was address a political rally in the constituency in the run-up to Assembly elections but was denied permission for a room in the Hotel Drive In 24. The Hotel management told Owaisi’s supporters hat all the rooms were already booked and hence he can’t be allotted a room.

The move has sparked political fight in the poll-bound state. AIMIM workers have accused the political establishment of trying to sabotage Owaisi’s rally in the state, fearing latter’s strong support. The ruling party is yet to react on the issue.

AIMIM’s state unit chief expressed strong displeasure over humiliating treatment of party chief and alleged that the hotel management was acting at the behest of UP Police. He claimed that the hoteliers told him that there is room available for another person in the hotel, but they can’t give room to Owaisi
