Assam CM Himanta Sharma’s reply to trolls after Video of him circulated as ‘copy paste CM’

Reacting to the online criticism, the Chief Minister didn’t deny it but rather admitted doing so and also said that he doesn’t English & Hindi well.

New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday replied to trollers after a video of him copying content in the visitor’s book surfaced on social media. Sarma’s rejoinder came in response to those who mocked the Chief Minister for allegedly copying text from a notebook.

A video of the Chief Minister was shared by a Twitter user Roshan Rai, who identifies himself as a cricketer.

“Presenting the CM of Assam who can’t even write a paragraph in a visitor’s book without copying,” he wrote while sharing the video.

The incident occurred during Chief Minister’s visit to a state school. The video showed CM Himanta writing English text in visitors book of the school, while copying the same from a notebook placed in front of him.

The Chief Minister said that he was not good in English & Hindi and has no hesitation in accepting it. He also informed that he was trying his best to learn the languages.

“I went to an Assamese medium school and am trying my best to learn Hindi and English in my own humble way. I must admit that I do not know English and Hindi very well, and I have no hesitation in admitting it,” CM Himanta wrote, replying to the viral video.

The candid admission by the Chief Minister also earned him some positive response from the netizens.

“That’s your humbleness you replied to baseless tweets,” said twitter user Ashutosh J Dubey while another said that Assam CM has 3 degrees including BA, MA & LLB.
