Because his name is Khan: Mehbooba gives communal twist to Aryan’s arrest, slams Central agencies
New Delhi: Days after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) cracked down on Mumbai cruise rave party, arresting SRK’s son Aryan Khan over drug abuse, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti on Monday stoked a fresh controversy by giving a communal colour to the case.
“23 year old is being hounded because his surname happens to be Khan”, Mehbooba Mufti said in a tweet.
The PDP chief also went on to launch diatribe against the Modi govt and claimed it to an attempt to target the Muslims. She claimed that the central agencies were deliberately targeting a particular community for ‘satiating the sadistic wishes of BJP vote bank’.
Instead of making an example out of a Union Minister’s son accused of killing four farmers, central agencies are after a 23 year old simply because his surname happens to be Khan.Travesty of justice that muslims are targeted to satiate the sadistic wishes of BJPs core vote bank.

While slamming the Centre, Mehbooba also called for swift action against the Union Minister’s son who has been arrested after hours of question, for allegedly mowing down 4 farmers under his SUV in UP’s Lakhimpuri Kheri district.
BJP hits out at Mehbooba’s ‘anti-national’ tirade
Taking strong exception to Mehbooba’s communal spin to Mumbai cruise drug bust case, the BJP said that the PDP chief was indulging in anti-national rhetoric as the NCB sleuths have already found narcotics in the belongings of accused.
Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, was arrested by the NCB after the sleuths busted the rave party and recovered charas & other banned substances from their possession. Aryan is currently lodged in Mumbai’s Arthur Road prison.
