Bengal Polls: Children emulate PM Modi’s ‘didi..O..didi’ jibe at Mamata, VIDEOs set Twitter buzzing

BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has been sharing the videos of kids and has even requested users to share their kids’ ‘Didi… O Didi’ videos.

New Delhi: Four phases of polling in West Bengal are over and four more are to go, results of which will be announced on May 2. Electioneering have been going on at feverish pitch with tallest leaders of BJP and TMC getting into war of words and verbal duels.

Mamata Banerjee pulled no punches when it came to targeting the top BJP leadership including PM Modi and HM Amit Shah. She pinned the blamed on Home Minister for 4 deaths at a polling booth in Cooch Bihar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi though refrained from direct accusation or attack on Mamata, his ‘Didi… O… Didi’ jibe at Bengal CM during election rallies found big traction among voters. TMC leaders called it a deliberate insult of CM Mamata, a charge outrightly rejected by saffron party.

As PM Modi takes constant digs at Bengal CM for blocking Central schemes or creaking law & order situation, his ‘Didi…O….Didi’ dig has found many takers on social media too. On social media, many videos are being shared where children could be seen repeating the same derisive one-liner.

PM Modi, in his recent rally in Bengal’s Barasat, said that he could not understand why the TMC chief got frustrated when he addressed her as Didi.

BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has shared many such videos of children, where they could be seen PM Modi’s style of taunting Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) has found the Prime Minister’s ‘Didi o Didi’ remarks as highly offending. TMC leaders Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar and Shashi Panja even held a press conference to condemn such behavior and termed it as “cheap tactics”.
