Bihar Elections 2020: CPI(M) announces names of 4 candidates

Bihar Elections 2020: The elections will be conducted amid the COVID-19 pandemic with the necessary guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.

New Delhi: CPI(M) announces names of 4 candidates for Bihar Elections 2020. Ajay Kumar to contest from Bibhutipur constituency, Rajendra Prasad Singh from Matihani, Rajmangal Prasad from Pipra & Satendra Yadav from Majhi Assembly constituency.

CPI(M) is an ally in Mahagathbandhan in Bihar.

“As per the agreement between our alliance partners, the RJD will get 144 seats; the Congress Party will get 70 seats; the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) will get 19 seats; CPI (Communist Party of India) will get six seats; and the CPI-M (Communist Party of India-Marxist) will get four seats. The RJD will accommodate the other two partners — Mukesh Sahni-led Vikasheel Insaan Party, and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha — from its own quota of 144 seats,” declared RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, while addressing a crowded press meet at a luxury hotel in Patna.

Bihar Elections 2020

The election will held in three phases for a total of 243 seats; the first for 71 seats on 28 October 2020, the second for 94 seats on 3 November 2020 and the third for the remaining 78 will be on 7 November 2020. The results will be announced on 10 November 2020.
