New Delhi: June 27 (Tuesday) will mark a historic day in the expansion of Vande Bharat Express train network and also augmentation of its services. Five Vande Bharat trains will be given a green signal tomorrow, in one go, thereby taking the total number of state-of-the art trains to 23 now.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off all these 5 Vande Bharat trains at a public function to be held at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station, Bhopal tomorrow.
Routes & timings of new Vande Bharat fleet
The 5 Vande Bharat trains ready for launch are – Rani Kamalapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express; Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express; Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express; Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express; and Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express.
Madhya Pradesh
The state will witness the launch of two Vande Bharat Express trains simultaneously namely — Rani Kamalapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express & Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express.
Both trains will give major impetus to fast connectivity while people will get a chance to get accustomed to comforts of travel.
Rani Kamalapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express will connect Mahakaushal Region (Jabalpur) to the central region (Bhopal) of the state. Tourist places like Bheraghat, Pachmarhi, Satpura etc are likely to benefit from this as Vande Bharat will reduce travel time by 30 minutes, as compared to fastest train on this route.
Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express will improve the connectivity between Indore, Khajuraho & Bhopal. This will again give fillip to pilgrimage to tourists locations like Mahakaleshwar, Mandu, Maheshwar, Khajuraho, Panna.
Goa
Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express will be Goa’s 1st Vande Bharat Express and it will ply between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus to Madgaon station. It will cut travel time by 1 hour.
Bihar/Jharkhand
Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express is the first Vande Bharat train connecting capital of both states. The train is likely to have huge footfalls with students, businessmen & tourists also boarding this train for fast connectivity. Currently, the road route between two capitals is not upto mark & there is also scarcity of fast trains on this route.
Karnataka
This will be second Vande Bharat Express of Karnataka. Dharwad–Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will connect Dharwad, Hubballi and Davangere cities of state with its capital. The first train here was launched on Mysuru-Chennai route.
