Bihar polls 2020: Cong releases 2nd list…Shatrughan’s son & Sharad Yadav’s daughter among 49 candidates

Former MP and senior LJP leader Kali Pandey who had joined the Congress two days will fight from Kuchaikote assembly seat. Asif Ghafoor, son of former Bihar CM Abdul Ghafoor has been given Gopalganj seat.

New Delhi: The Indian National Congress (INC) on Thursday released the second list of 49 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.

Among the big names, Shatrughan Sinha’s son Luv Sinha has been fielded from Bankipur seat while Sharad Yadav’s daughter Suhasini (who got recently inducted in Congress) will contest from Bihariganj seat.

Former MP and senior LJP leader Kali Pandey who had joined the Congress two days will fight from Kuchaikote assembly seat. Asif Ghafoor, son of former Bihar CM Abdul Ghafoor has been given Gopalganj seat.

Congress and RJD-led Mahagathbandhan are aiming to topple Nitish Kumar government, anticipating anti-incumbency and govt’s failure in tackling the pandemic and job crisis.

The elections in the state will be held in 3 phases starting from October 28.

 

Polling will be held during the second phase of elections in Bihar on November 3. The counting of votes will take place on November 10.
