New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath temple and Kaal Bhairav Temple on Friday.

The BJP leaders visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in morning, paid obeisance to Lord Shiva at and also performed aarti.

CM Yogi and JP Nadda performed the ‘shodshopachar puja’ in order to worship Shri Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga.
While the two party stalwarts worshipped the Lord Shiva at Kashi Vishwanath temple, chants of Har Har Mahadev & Jai Shri Ram reverberated the temple premises.

Nadda - Yogi - kashi

Nadda and Yogi Adityanth also made a brief stop at a tea stall near Kaal Bhairav temple and had some refreshments.
Nadda had reached Varanasi on Thursday night for a two-day tour of the city and was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh chief ministers & party workers.

Notably, the BJP National Executive in its Tuesday meet, approved the extension of tenure of JP Nadda as BJP President for another 1 year term. Nadda will stay at the helm till June 2024 and will steer the party’s campaign for General Elections, slated for next year.
