BJP may repeat 2017 UP victory, 300 seats possible if party gets 47% vote share: Matrize Exit poll

Amid series of exit polls by several polling agencies, BJP is turning out to be the biggest gainer while AAP is on the brink of bagging a new state outside Delhi.

New Delhi: Amid series of exit polls by several polling agencies, BJP is turning out to be the biggest gainer while AAP is on the brink of bagging a new state outside Delhi. The saffron party is likely to retain power in all states including Uttar Pradesh.

Despite reports of anti-incumbency against Yogi govt & wrath of farmers over 3 agricultural bills, BJP is seen easily sailing through the poll battle and if all goes well, it may be within reach of creating another milestone.

According to Matrize Exit poll, BJP is seen grabbing about 262-277 seats in the 403 member Assembly. It is yet again emerging as the single largest party in the state with 45.4% vote share. Akhilesh Yadav-led SP is witnessing a rise in its tally but will get restricted to 119-134. Its vote share is seen at around 35.4%.

BSP and Congress are seen faring poorly in the recently concluded Assembly polls with 7-15 and 3-8 seats respectively. BSP may still be saving its face with 13% vote share but Congress is projected to get a paltry 2% vote share.

BJP may cross 300 mark, if 47% vote share in its kitty

What’s even bigger finding by the Matrize poll agency is that Yogi government may repeat its 2017 magic if all goes well and party gets 1% more vote share than it predicted.

It says that BJP will easily cross 300 seats if it manages to get 47% vote share.

In its poll prediction, the poll agency has predicted 3.6% jump in BJP’s vote share (as compared to 2017 elections) while drop of about 9 & 3% vote share in BSP & Congress. SP is the biggest gainer with its vote share jumping over 10% in 2022, as compared to previous election.
