BJP targets Rahul Gandhi for comments on China, asks for his expulsion from Congress

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia asked Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to expel Rahul Gandhi because his comments ‘belittle’ India and are not good for the morale of the army.

New Delhi: BJP leaders are taking a dig at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on the Indo-China conflict during a press conference. Rahul Gandhi, while celebrating 100 days of Bharat Jodo Yatra, targeted BJP and said that 20 Indian jawans were martyred and many beaten up in Tawang. From Law Minister Kiren Rijiju to BJP President JP Nadda, everywhen took a jibe at Gandhi in their own way.

BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia asked Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to expel Rahul Gandhi because his comments ‘belittle’ India and are not good for the morale of the army. He also claimed that it was India’s army personnel who beat and chased away their Chinese counterparts. Bhatia added that if Congress does not take an action on the statements, this will show their mindset.

Kiren Rijiju, in a tweet, shared Gandhi’s clip and said that Rahul Gandhi has insulted the nation and not only Congress, but he is an ‘ embarrassment’ for the country.

BJP President JP Nadda said that Gandhi’s statement demoralises the army and no matter how much it is condemned, it is less. He further went on to accuse Congress of signing MoU with the Communist Party of China.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, while speaking at the 95th FICCI Annual Convention and AGM, replied to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks indirectly. He targeted Gandhi for ‘doubting’ government on the issue of border security and said that in Galwan and Tawang, the Indian defence forces have proved their valour.

Rahul Gandhi, on December 16 in Rajasthan, said that China has taken away 2,000 square kilometres of the nation’s land and accused the government of hiding the Tawang clash. He also said that China is preparing for war against India.
