New Delhi: Gaurav Taneja, a pilot with Air Asia airlines was suspended by the airline, apparently after he unearthed safety lapses in the airline operations.
The pilot-cum-Youtuber shared the video on his official channel, revealing the reason behind his suspension from Air Asia, which has now resulted in a number of his fans making #BoycottAirAsia trend on Twitter.
What Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Beast alleged in video
Gaurav begins his tell-tale video with raising objections against the HR aspects of the company with an unfavourable sick leave policy. He narrates an incident from 24th March where he was asked to report into work despite being sick, compromising the safety of a flight piloted by a sick person. “If you’re not feeling a 100% and still fly a plane endangering the lives of those on board, it’s almost as good as committing murder.”, Taneja says.

Gaurav also revealed that the company did not seriously follow the safety guidelines during COVID-19 outbreak. He revealed that he even shared his worries on many of the company’s WhatsApp groups which were ignored.
Gaurav pointed out the serious lack of management in the airlines. After the series of tweets and a video posted by Gaurav Taneja started gaining engagement, his fans trended the BoyCottAirAsia and shared their grievances with the company.
