New Delhi: At a joint election rally of Samajwadi Party (SP) and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) in Bulandshahr, the RLD supremo Ajit Singh lashed out at the BJP govt in the state & centre and accused it of befooling the public through its web of lies.
Bulandshahr Sadar is heading for by-polls along with Bihar Assembly elections. SP and RLD jointly organized a public rally in Noomaish Maidan of the city today, as the two parties have struck a pre-poll alliance for this seat.
A week before, Akhilesh Yadav-led SP announced 4 of 7 Assembly seats going to by-polls. Bulandshahr Assembly seat was left for Ajit Singh’s RLD which is an ally of SP.
Addressing the election rally, RLD chief took many jibes at the BJP and called it a ‘party of liars’.
“I have never seen such a government in my life, which speaks lies to every section of society including its voters base. This is the reason why farmers, peasants, business community as well as youth… all are disgruntled and angry with this govt,” said AJit Singh at public rally.
Commenting on lathicharge on RLD vice-chief Jayant Choudhary during Hathras visit, he called it a planned conspiracy.
“Jayant was baton-charged by UP Police to suppress the voice of common people,” he claimed.
He took jibes at the Modi government over several issues including PSU disinvestment, price-rise, doubling farmers income, demonetisation, GST and Lockdown.
For the Hathras incident, he also accused media of being partisan in reporting the grievous incident.
