Bureaucratic reshuffle in Uttarakhand: 24 IAS & 1 PCS officer transferred

As per the order, Dheeraj Singh Gabryal has become the new DM of Haridwar while Ms Vandana & Vineet Tomar will take charge as DM of Nainital & Almorah districts respectively.

New Delhi: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in Uttarakhand, Pushkar Dhami government on Wednesday effected transfer of as many as 25 senior bureaucrats. At least 24 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers & 1 Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officer have been transferred from their positions.

Vinay Shankar Pandey has become the new Chief Secretary of Chief Minister and has also been given charge of Investment & MSME department.

The state government also replaced District Magistrates (DMs) of three districts namely Haridwar, Nainital & Almorah with new faces.

As per the order, Dheeraj Singh Gabryal has become the new DM of Haridwar while Ms Vandana & Vineet Tomar will take charge as DM of Nainital & Almorah districts respectively.

Uttarakhand transfers - 1

Among other high-profile postings in the state, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan will now take charge of Finance and Infrastructure Development Commission by replacing Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu. Mr Sudhanshu will now helm the Urban Development department.

IAS R Meenakshi Sundaram will take over Secretary of Planning in the Externally Aided Projects department.

Secretary Sachin Kurve will have additional charge of Civil Aviation while Arvind Singh Hyanki will take over as Secretary of Department of Drinking Water.

Uttarakhand transfers - 3

The lone PCS officer Arvind Kumar Pandey in the administrative reshuffle was given charge of Secretary, Human Rights Commission.

Sandeep Tiwari has been made MD of Kumaon Mandal Development.
