Central Vista marks nation’s march towards ‘New India’, see the breathtaking pics..

New Delhi: The Central Vista Project is coming out wonderfully, the Union Urban Development Secretary shared some beautiful pictures of development from the site.

The Central Vista Avenue Project has become a living picture of great history. Durga Shankar Mishra, Secretary, Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Development took to Twitter to share some of the inside pictures from the project.

A glorious work preserving the architectural heritage for future generations of Indians is taking shape at Central Vista Avenue! Extremely happy to share some photographs from my visit of the ongoing Central Vista Avenue works today. It is coming up quite well, Durgashankar Mishra wrote

I am confident that all Delhiites & citizens visiting from different parts of our country will be proud of the refurbished Central Vista Avenue, where India’s Republic Day Parade 2022, the annual event in the 75th year of the country’s Independence, will be celebrated, he added

Works are moving at a very swift speed. So far 160 MT steel, 2,268 MT cement & 8.9 lakhs bricks have been consumed, with far more quantity procured. Further, 9,014 sqm Kota stone, 2,000 sqm Granite & 7 Km stormwater pipe have been procured & are being laid expeditiously, Durga Shankar Mishra informed

1,290 on-site & 800 off-site workers (over 50,000 man-days so far!) & persons specialised in flooring, canal, signage, electric, stainless steel/aluminum, horticulture etc works are deployed. Shapoorji Pollonji, our executing agency is taking their best care & welfare.

Special measures to curb pollution & resource efficiency have been taken. New Central Vista Avenue is coming up as a people-friendly place with signages, walkable pathways, larger green spaces, beautiful refreshing canals, public amenities/ facilities etc.
