Chandigarh University MMS Leak: Video of accused confessing crime goes viral -WATCH

Mohali SP also said no suicide attempt or death has taken place in the campus in this incident.

New Delhi: Chandigarh Police today arrested a woman student from Mohali for allegedly leaking objectionable videos of other students of a private university.

Police have taken her electronic devices and mobile phones into their custody and it will be sent for forensic examination.

Also, the  police said a case has been registered against the accused girl under Sections 354 c of IPC and IT act at the Gharuan police post.

The accused girl have been identified as a first-year MBA student.

Meanwhile, now a video of the accused girl has gone viral on social media where she is being questioned about the incident by her warden and a group of girls.

According to reports, the accused female student had sent the bathroom videos of her hostel mates to the boy in Shimla.

Students of private university protest over objectionable videos that became viral on the internet.

In the video, the accused can be heard accepting that she made the videos and forwarding it to a boy in Shimla.

It was during this that the girl had said that she had made videos of around 60 girls.

However, police have refuted the claim and said that in the investigation only one video of the accused herself was found and she has not recorded any other video of anyone else.

He also said that no attempt (to commit suicide) has been reported in this case.

He also appealed to not pay any attention to rumours.

This comes after a massive protest erupted after Chandigarh University students in Mohali on Saturday night after alleged ‘leaked objectionable videos’ of women students went viral on social media.
