Chhattisgarh poll survey: Cong likely to retain power, BJP seen at close second

The elections are scheduled to be held in or around November 2023.

New Delhi: A recently conducted opinion poll by ABP News CVoter has projected INC’s return to power in the upcoming legislative assembly election of Chhattisgarh.

As per the ABP Cvoter survey, INC will be getting around 48 & 54 seats while BJP is expected closely trail with 35-41 seats.

The same opinion poll also predicts a 2.5% spike in Congress’ vote share which will take the party’s overall vote share to 45.6 % in comparison with its 2018’s 43.1% vote share. On the other side, BJP is expected to receive a 41% vote share which will be 8.1% more than the 33% share the political party received in the previous elections.

The elections are scheduled to be held in or around November 2023.

Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Election 2018

In Chhattisgarh’s 2018 election, Congress emerged victorious on 68/90 seats and put an end to BJP’s 15-year-long regime in the naxal-affected state. BJP managed to win over 15 seats while BSP secured 7 seats in the same elections.

Chhattisgarh to opt for Bhupesh Baghel once again?

Despite BJP trying their best to dethrone the INC and regain power in the state, Congress leader and Chhattisgarh’s current CM Bhupesh Baghel again came forward as the most preferred candidate while BJP leader Raman Singh got the second position.

The third and fourth spot was claimed by Congress member TS Singhdev and BJP’s Raman Bais respectively.
