Gujarat CM, ministers mark their presence at celebration of Constitution Day

CM Rupani stated that it is our duty to protect Constitutional rights and strengthen democracy. We have to enhance the dignity of the constitution, with an aim of Constitution for the people, by the people and through the people to maintain freedom, equality and brotherhood.

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minster Vijay Rupani along with other Cabinet Ministers and Chief Secretary Anil Mukim, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretary and secretaries marked their presence at the celebration of Constitution Day from the Narmada Hall of Swarnim Sankul.

The Chief Minister clearly stated that it is our duty to protect the Constitutional rights and strengthen democracy. We have to enhance the dignity of the constitution, with an aim of Constitution for the people, by the people and through the people to maintain freedom, equality and brotherhood.

As a part of celebration of Constitution day being started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 26th November 2014, President Ramnath Kovind addressed the celebration of Constitution Day via Video link from New Delhi and read out the preamble of the Constitution.

Rupani said that, while establishing the importance of the Constitution during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat Mr. Narendra Modi, has made the people aware about the supremacy and importance of the Constitution.

The CM said that the Speakers of the State Legislative Assemblies of the country who had come to participate in the ongoing Speakers’ Conference in Kevadia have also joined in the mass reading of the Preamble of the Constitution.

The CM said that these collective oaths have been taken for the purpose of ensuring loyalty to the Constitution.
