Coldest Day! Delhi’s Ayanagar records min temp of 1.8 degrees, season’s lowest temperature

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) data today said the minimum temperature in Delhi’s Ayanagar plunges to 1.8 degree Celsius.

New Delhi: Recording the cold wave for the second day in a row, Delhi’s Ayanagar’s temperature dipped to 1.8 degrees Celsius according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) data.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperature recorded at Safdarjung was 4.0°C and in Delhi Ridge, it was 3.3°C said IMD.

On Thursday (January 6), the minimum temperature recorded in Delhi was three degrees Celsius-the lowest temperature recorded in the month of  January in two years.

Due to cold waves and dense fog at least 26 trains were delayed, said a Railways spokesperson.
