Mother in ICU, was shown baby via video call

While Dr Arfa Sajadin was being treated in the ICU, doctors attending to her would show her the baby via video call.

This is supposed to have hugely helped in her recovery and today they were united for the first time. The team of doctors are thrilled and overjoyed at this heartwarming union as chances of mother’s survival were slim.

“She was 37 weeks pregnant when she was diagnosed with Covid-19. Considering her symptoms and clinical status, she underwent a surgical procedure and delivered a baby. The baby didn’t cry at birth and hence was taken to NICU,” paediatrician and neo-natologist Abhishek Tiwari told a leading daily.
