“Deepotsav 2022 will be historic and unprecedented”, says CM Yogi Adityanath

The districts of Basti, Rae Bareli, Gonda, Barabanki etc. adjoining the border of Ayodhya district will be on alert

New Delhi: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Friday night, reviewed the preparations for the grand event of Ayodhya Deepotsav.Senior Government Officials were present in the meeting, while the officers of Ayodhya district administration participated through virtual medium.

Important guidelines given by the Chief Minister in the meeting:

# It is an occasion of pride and joy for all of us that this year Ayodhya Deepotsav is being celebrated in the dignified presence of the respected Prime Minister. This year’s Deepotsav will be historic. The grand and divine Ayodhya Deepotsav has been organized continuously for the last five years. The event is scaling new heights on the global stage by lighting record earthen lamps (diyas) every year. This year we will break our own previous record and create a new record.

# Deepotsav is an occasion of gaiety and enthusiasm. A large number of local people and tourists from all over the country and abroad will be eager to participate. In such a situation, the sentiments of the public should be fully respected. There should be proper arrangement for the movement of the general public. The behavior of the police force engaged in crowd control should be simple and cooperative. No devotee or tourist should face unnecessary trouble.

# Ayodhya Deepotsav is making a mark in the whole world today for its grandeur. In such a situation, all the preparations should be done keeping in mind the dignity of the ceremony. The entire program should be rehearsed once before the main event of October 23. Before the main function, a special campaign of cleanliness and sanitisation should be carried out in the entire district.

# Deepotsav is an integral part of our ‘Sanatan Dharma.’ This is a sacred memory of Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman returning to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile. In Ayodhya Deepotsav, there will also be a symbolic depiction of Lord Shri Ram’s return to Ayodhya, Bharat Milap, Shri Ram’s coronation etc. Saryu Maiya’s aarti will also be performed by the Prime Minister. On these special occasions, melodious bhajans/aartis/’manas ki chaupaiyaans’ and couplets etc should be sung. This will make the ceremony more spectacular and unforgettable.

# A large number of devotees will participate to see the grandeur of Deepotsav. Respected Prime Minister, Honorable Governor, Ministers and many other dignitaries will also be present. In such a situation, there should be strong security arrangements. Ensure that the standards of the Prime Minister’s security system are followed in letter and spirit. There should be no room for any mistakes.

# The districts of Basti, Rae Bareli, Gonda, Barabanki etc. adjoining the border of Ayodhya district will have to be on alert. The general public should be duly informed about the route diversion being made effective from October 22. Additional SP level officers should be posted on all the borders of Ayodhya district.

# In view of the security arrangements, keep in touch with all the hotels / dharamshalas of Ayodhya district. Complete information about the people living here should be kept.

# After lighting the lamp during the Deepotsav, the lamp should be looked after until the wick of the lamp goes out automatically. After the ceremony is over, volunteers should be kept ready to collect the lamps.

# Live telecast of the ceremony should be done at various places in Ayodhya district, so that more and more people can join the Deepotsav. After the completion of the main function, proper planning should be done so that people can easily reach their destination. Arrangements should be made to transport women, children and foreign artists to their homes safely. Adequate police force should be deployed so that there should be no stampede. In view of the possibility of crowding in temples, a 24×7 police force should be deployed.

# Uninterrupted power supply should be ensured in Ayodhya for the smooth organisation of Deepotsav.
