Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tests negative for Coronavirus

New Delhi: In a major sigh of relief, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has tested negative for Coronavirus on Tuesday.

The 51-year-old chief minister, who is also a diabetic, is much better now, however, he hasn’t met anyone since yesterday noon, reports said.

All party meet to take stock of ‘Covid crisis’

Meanwhile, an all-party meeting was held in the national capital to discuss the present Covid-19 situation in the city & measures to contain its spread.

After the meeting, Delhi LG Anil Baijal said, “Issues relating to the availability of beds for COVID19 patients, extensive testing, swift ambulance response were discussed at the meeting.

Earlier in the day, reports said that BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Madhavi Raje Scindia are also admitted to Max Super Specialty hospital in Saket after they both developed COVID-19 like symptoms. Another BJP leader and spokesperson Sambit Patra was discharged from hospital after spending a couple of days.

874 deaths in Delhi due to Covid-19

According to the Health Ministry, Delhi so far has recorded as many as 29,943 cases of COVID-19. Out of the total, 17712 are currently active in the capital and 11357 have been discharged/cured.

A total of 874 have died in Delhi due to lethal infection.
