New Delhi: As Delhi battles the spread of Covid-19, reports suggest that Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) Anil Baijal’s office has been sealed after a junior employee was tested Corona positive.

After the junior assistant was tested positive, tests were conducted for 40 other employees.

“A junior assistant has tested positive for COVID-19. He was posted at the grievance cell located at a bungalow being used as part of the LG Secretariat in Civil Lines area,” a news agency reported quoting sources. “It’s close to bungalows of Health Minister Satyendar Jain and Environment Minister Gopal Rai,” it said.

The LG Secretariat spreads into two parts, which includes the bungalow where around 40 officials work.

Around 40 employees of the secretariat underwent the COVID-19 test. The bungalow where staff members sit is being disinfected by authorities, sources said.

The coronavirus death toll in Delhi has climbed to 303, while the number of cases per day has been increasing on regular basis.
