Delhi night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am till April 30: Here’s what will be allowed and what not

The Delhi government has announced night curfew in the capital starting today amid surge in Covid cases.

New Delhi: Night curfew imposed in Delhi from 10 pm to 5 am with immediate effect till 30th April, in the wake of COVID19 situation, said Delhi Government on Tuesday.

Residents are not allowed to come out of their house from 10 pm to 5 am.

Delhi reported 3,548 new Covid-1919 cases, 2,936 recoveries, and 15 deaths on Monday. With this, total cases in the national capital reached 6,79,962, including 14,589 active cases.

Here is what will be allowed and what not

# Buses, metro, autos, taxis and other modes of public transport will be allowed to ferry only those people who are exempt from night curfew. Depts providing essential services to remain exempt.

# There shall be no restriction on inter-state and intra-state movement/transportation of essential/non-essential goods. No separate permission/e-pass will be required for such movements.

# Rules applicable to movement of people & not essential goods & services.

# Pvt doctors, nurses & paramedical staff to remain exempt from night curfew if ID card is produced.

# Passengers going to airports, railway stations & bus stations will be exempted if a valid ticket is produced.

# Pregnant women and patients going for treatment exempted

Meanwhile, India reported more than 96,982 cases new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, informed the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday.
