Delhi Police cracks blind murder case in 24 hours, 2 accused nabbed; weapon, mobile phone recovered

New Delhi: In a major achievement, the Delhi Police has cracked a blind murder case within 24 hours of the execution of crime.

The incident took place near Ambedkar College in Kardampuri area, where two youngsters aged 19 years attacked and killed a 20 year old person and dumped his body near the Kabristan.

The Delhi Police received a PCR call on 18th August at 6:43 PM that some people were brutally thrashing a person in the area. Following which it quickly swung into action and reached the spot. However, by that time, two accused named Rashish and Safik had already committed the crime. They attacked a person named Vishal with a big stone repeatedly, dumped his body and then fled the spot.

The Police took the injured person to nearby hospital but he succumbed to the injuries.

A small police team was formed to solve the case. The team was quick to gather information from locals in the area, analyze CCTV footages and zero in on a suspicious scooty. The crack team of Delhi Police located this scooty and its owners Rashish and Shafik, who were driving this on that fateful day.

The accused were apprehended and interrogated.

Ved Prakash Surya, Deputy Commissioner of Police, North-East Delhi told media that the accused confessed to their crime and admitted that they had killed the deceased.

After nabbing the accused, the police team also recovered mobile phone and purse of the deceased from them.
