Diwali gift for Mau residents: A medical college in district soon, says Minister AK Sharma

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said it is a proud moment for me and for the people of Mau.

New Delhi: AK Sharma, the Minister for Urban Development and Energy in the Uttar Pradesh government, extended his gratitude to chief minister Yogi Adityannath for issuing letters of intent for setting up a medical college in Mau. Sharma informed everyone about the development through his Twitter account. The minister said, the LOI was issued just after a month after he made the request to CM for a medical college in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said it is a proud moment for me and for the people of Mau. I am happy to say that CM Yogi accepted his request of setting up a medical college in the district. He wished the college will soon be constructed.

”I had made a request to Hon. @myogiadityanath ji. Thanks to him that @UPGovt issued Letters of Intent today to set up a Medical College on a PPP basis in Mau District. Congrats to the people of Mau” wrote  A K Sharma on Twitter.

Notably, Sharma had made the request during a rally in the month of September. Today, Shamra also shared the video of the rally on his Twitter account. In the rally, CM Yogi participated with other BJP leaders.

Study medicine in their hometown

Notably, the UP government under the leadership of CM Yogi has planned to build medical colleges in 16 districts of UP under the PPP model. AK Sharma is famous among the people for his developmental work in the district. The college will help many students to study medicine in their hometown.

For the people of the district where Sharma was born, he have had renovated the bus station and started a new railway line. He is also known for his flood control work and for developing employment opportunities here.
