Doctors insulted on Doctor’s day: Ujjain cop gets into scuffle with medics at hospital

New Delhi: On a day, when the nation is paying tribute to doctors for their altruistic service to the countrymen, a policeman picked up a fight with doctors in an Ujjain hospital. The matter which began with an argument/verbal altercation escalated into a scuffle with both sides coming to blows.
The incident was captured on CCTV camera of the hospital. In the video, the policeman can be seen making the first move in picking up physical fight.
‘Errant’ cop caught on camera
The policeman tried to assault a doctor and attacked the colleagues of the doctor who came to rescue him. After getting information about this incident, a team of senior officials of both the departments reached the spot and pacified the nerves.

In the CCTV footage, people from both sections can be seen engaging in physical blows.
Allegations, counter-allegations follows
According to Dr. Amit Patidar of the hospital, Ujjain Police constable named Raju came to the district hospital for his treatment where he was asked to go to meet the doctor in the flu department. Inspite of going there, he started to abuse the doctor.
Watching the rage increasing, nearby colleagues tried to intervene and save the doctor who was attacked by the constable. Although no one suffered from any serious injuries but the whole incident got recorded in the CCTV camera. A complaint has been registered from both sides.
