New Delhi: A student of Darul Uloom Deoband on Wednesday posted a threatening message about fresh Pulwama attack on his X (formerly Twitter) account, prompting quick action from the security agencies.
The radicalized youth took to his X and wrote, “Bahut jald in sha allah dusra pulwama bhi hoga” (Insha Allah, there will be another Pulwama soon).
Darul Uloom Deoband is an Islamic seminary in UP’s Saharanpur for disseminating traditional education among Muslims.
The UP Anti Terror Squad (ATS) has taken the youth in custody and is grilling him on his motive & also finding out whether more radicalized minds are part of it.

An FIR has also been lodged against the Deoband student for threatening messages about ‘Pulwama 2.0’ on X.
The Deoband student has been identified as Talha Mazhar. He is said to a native of Jharkhand. He got admission in a madrasa affiliated to Deoband Uloom and was enrolled in a religious program.
Deoband youth’s details being scanned
Mobile phone of the Deoband student has been confiscated and being scanned for suspected terror links. Reports also suggest that his close acquaintances & friends have also being taken into custody & being questioned.
A police official said that the youth is currently being questioned, his call records and WhatsApp chats are being scanned to get to the bottom of matter and also to nab his ‘masters’ if any. Cops are looking into his mobile phone and google search history and also finding out what kind of books he has access to.
