Eye on 2024 LS polls: BJP chief JP Nadda kick-starts 120-day nationwide tour from Uttarakhand

New Delhi: With an eye on 2024 Lok Sabha polls and Uttarakhand Assembly elections in 2021, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief JP Nadda launched his 120-day nationwide tour with four-day visit to Uttarakhand.

Nadda’s nationwide tour is aimed at strengthening the party machinery in states where it did not fare well as it could have in previous general elections.

Nadda started his four-month long journey with a visit to Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya in Shantikunj, Haridwar.

“I am starting my journey of 120 days where I will travel to all the states to strengthen my party. I have started it from Shantikunj to take the blessings of the Gurus,” Nadda said while addressing an event at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya.

Nadda also attended Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri Ghat in Haridwar during his visit.

Earlier in November, BJP national general secretary, Arun Singh had said that Nadda during his country tour will give priority to visiting the constituencies where the BJP had lost in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

“He will also take stock of the Assembly election preparations in the states. He will hold discussions with MLAs and party officials. The aim is to strengthen the party in every corner of the country and establish direct contact with ground-level workers,” Singh said.

Nadda to meet eminent citizens during national tour

Nadda will also meet eminent citizens in each and every state. He will visit big states for a period of three days and smaller states for two days. The states, where the BJP is in power, will also give a presentation on schemes and policies. Nadda is also expected to meet social media volunteers of the party.

Nadda’s four-day itinerary in Uttarakhand

# Nadda held more than a dozen meetings besides participating in various booth-level and division (mandal)-level programmes. He also held several review meetings with party cadres.

# BJP President visited Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar and also participated in Ganga Arti and paid obeisance to the gods and goddesses. He also met Saints and Mahants in Haridwar and sought their blessings.

# BJP President will receive a grand welcome at Nepali Farm on the Dehradun border by party workers by forming a human chain.

# Nadda will address a meeting of Amdebkar Nagar Mandal at the Hindu National Inter College, Ambedkar Nagar.

December 6

# BJP President will hold meeting at Shastrinagar, Kanwali in Mandal Premnagar at Kanwali Booth No. 42.

# Nadda will hold virtual meeting with party cadres at the State BJP headquarters in Dehradun. Post this, he will also meet with the party’s social media volunteers.
