Farmers Protest: Rakesh Tikait sets Nov 26 deadline for Government, warns of escalation

On Sunday (October 31),  Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait had warned the Centre saying that if the administration pulls down farmer’s tents at protest sites, they will set tents at police stations and District Magistrate’s offices.

New Delhi: Farmer leader Rakesh Tikat on Monday  has set November 26  as the deadline for government. He even warned of escalation of protest at Delhi borders.

Taking to Twitter, he said, “The central government has time till November 26, after that from November 27, farmers will reach the border at the movement sites around Delhi by tractors from villages and strengthen the tents at the movement and movement site with solid fortifications.”(Translated from his Tweet)

On Sunday (October 31),  Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait had warned the Centre saying that if the administration pulls down farmer’s tents at protest sites, they will set tents at police stations and District Magistrate’s offices.

“We have come to know that the administration is trying to pull down the tents here with the help of JCB. If they do that, the farmers will set up their tents at Police stations, DM offices,” Tikait told ANI.

Earlier in the day, he tweeted, “If there is an attempt to forcibly remove the farmers from the borders, then they will turn government offices across the country into Galla Mandi.”
