New Delhi: A shopping mall in Greater Noida West region of Uttar Pradesh was engulfed in major blaze on Thursday noon. Chaos & confusion broke out inside the shopping complex as people ran helter-skelter inside to save their lives.
The videos of Greater Noida mall caught up in fire surfaced on social media, taking the internet by storm. Shocking visuals showed a couple of people jumping from the third floor of building.
The mall is reportedly situated inside the Gaur City 1, a housing society in Greater Noida West and houses all types of outlets ranging from grocery stories to food courts to restaurants & gym & meditation centres. The fire broke out in third floor of the shopping complex.
In one of the viral videos, one person can also be heard screaming, ‘kud ja, kud ja (jump)’.

The video gives a fair glimpse of the huge commotion & chaos inside & outside of the mall. While there were loud voices of ‘kud jaa, kud jaa’, many on the ground asked them to hang on to the window and don’t take a jump from third floor. However, reports suggest that at least 3 people jumped off from the fire-engulfed floor.
There is no information about the casualty or injury, so far. Also, the extent of damage is not known yet.
Till last reports, fire tenders were rushed to the mall and the rescue operation is currently underway.
