First incendiary remarks, then arrest of Kalicharan Maharaj: Was it conspiracy? Name of organisers spark ‘plot’ theory
New Delhi: The Dharam Sansad at Raipur created a nation-wide uproar over inflammable remarks by Sant Kalicharan Maharaj & other religious leaders who urged the ‘Sanatani Hindus’ to arm themselves for a pitched battle for the establishment of Hindu Rashtra. He also made derogatory remarks against Mahatma Gandhi and hailed Nathuram Godse for killing him.
As the videos of Raipur Dharam Sansad landed on social media, it sparked furore with many netizens demanding action against the Maharaj for insulting remarks Mahatama Gandhi. Sant Kalicharan also made some derogatory remarks against the Bapu.
Later, an FIR was registered against Kalicharan for ‘inciting enmity’ between communities and was arrested today from Madhya Pradesh by the Chhattisgarh police.
However, what has sparked theories of plot & conspiracy is the name of organisers who belong to Congress & Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) parties. Theories have emerged which claim that organising Dharam Sansad was a plot to defame Hinduism & Hindutva.
The Raipur event was organised by NGO Neelkanth Seva Samiti & the Doodhadhari Math and was attended by Congress leader Pramod Dubey and BJP leaders Brijmohan Agrawal and Vishnu Deo Sai.
Now look at the founder of these NGOs. Founder of Neelkanth Seva Samiti is Neelkhanth Tripathhi, who is the national secretary of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) while Doodhadhari Math is owned by Mahant Ramsudar Das, who has been a Congress MLA before and is known to be close to Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel.
After the incendiary remarks ignited huge controversy, it was these Cong & NCP leaders who lodged an FIR against Sant Kalicharan.
A section of the political fraternity sees conspiracy in this event and believes that it was organised to bring a bad name to Hindus & Hinduism.
If this wasn’t the case, why Swamy Prabhodanand Giri, who made controversial statements at Haridwar Dharam Sansad was part of the Raipur event.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi also berated Congress for allowing the platform to rabble-rousers who made ‘genocidal pitch’ directed at a certain religion.
He also asked whether the Dharam Sansad was held under the ‘patronage of Congress party’.
“Was the Congress’ Hindu vs Hindutva talk just a jumla (empty promise)? Everyone is in the race to be the ‘bigger Hindu’,” Owaisi said.
