New Delhi: Fugitive pro-Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh’s wife was stopped at Amritsar airport on Thursday while she was attempting to escape to London, TV reprots said.
Amritpal Singh’s wife Kirandip Kaur was spotted by the security officials at the Amritsar airport today and moments later detained after questioning. She was about to board a flight to London this afternoon.
Notably, his husband Amritpal Singh, Waris Punjab De chief & Khalistani supporter has been on the run after Punjab police launched crackdown on him & his armed supporters.
Police have already questioned her in regard to absconding husband and sought details about his whereabouts, however, the self-styled Khalistani leaders continues to evade arrest.
Kirandip Kaur, in one of her interaction with a news portal, defended husband Amritpal Singh & his fight for religion. She slammed the police action against him and said that an illegal manhunt was on against him, as he was fighting for the cause of people & not indulge in any terror activities.
