Gujarat ahead of other states in fighting Covid-19, patient discharge rate doubles in last 10 days

New Delhi: As the nation continues its fight against the Coronavirus pandemic, Gujarat has emerged as the bright spot in tackling the menace. It has shown remarkable progress in treating the Covid-19 patients. Till now, more than 2545 patients have been treated for the disease and the recovery rate is much better than the national average.

Yesterday only, 454 patients were discharged from the hospital, all having recovered from the Coronvirus disease. Recovery rate of Corona patients, which earlier stood at 15.58% has now improved to 32.64%. This means – the recovery rate of patients in the state has almost doubled in last 10 days. And, it is much better than the national average of 30.75%.

A brief look at other states show the lead that Gujarat has taken from its counterparts. In Punjab, the recovery rate is mere 9% while it is 19%, 21% in Maharashtra and Odisha. West Bengal, too, has a recovery rate of mere 21%. In Tamil Nadu, the recovery rate is 28% while in Delhi it is 30.9%.

Gujarat is much ahead of its counterparts as it has already reached 32.64%, marking considerable improvement in its treatment of Covid patients.
