Gujarat CM lays foundation stone of drinking water project worth Rs 241.34 crores

Making an important announcement for Banaskantha district, the Chief Minister said that Narmada water would be provided to 156 villages of Deesa and Lakhni talukas at a cost of Rs. 500 crores.

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupanitoday laid the foundation stone of the drinking water project worth Rs. 241.34 crores at Dhanera in Banaskantha district. These works will provide clean drinking water to 119 villages of Dhanera, Dantiwada, and Deesa talukas and will benefit 3,91,000 people of Dhanera.

On the occasion, CM Rupani said that our government is firmly committed for the convenience, well-being and all-around development of the people of the state. Stating that the development journey of Gujarat has not stopped even during the COVID-19 Pandemic Mr. Rupani said that, we have laid foundation stone and dedicated various developmental projects.

Making an important announcement for Banaskantha district, the Chief Minister said that Narmada water would be provided to 156 villages of Deesa and Lakhni talukas at a cost of Rs. 500 crores. He said that works of Rs. 71 crores for improvement schemes based will be carried out for Danta and Palanpur.

Under the visionary leadership of the then Chief Minister of Gujarat and our Prime Minister Narendra Modi Gujarat has become a model state. Huge efforts are made every year by Sujalam SufalamYojana to enrich the water resources of Gujarat.Developmental works of more than Rs. 17000 crores have been inaugurated in last four-five months in the state.

People of Banaskantha have faced water crisis in past years, due to the huge campaign of the state government for the welfare of the people, the best facilities of drinking water have been made available in Banaskantha. He said that like energy sector, Gujarat has become a water surplus state in water sector.

MP Parbatbhai Patel said that due to the efforts of the then Chief Minister and our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, Narmada waters were welcomed in Banaskantha district. Principal Secretary, Water Supply Department Mr. DhananjayDwivedidelivered his welcome note.

On the occasion MLA’s Shashikantbhai Pandya, KirtisinhVaghela and Nathabhai Patel, District BJP President, Former Minister, Former MLA, Collector, District Development Officer, Prant Officer, Superintendent Engineer of Water Supply Board, Executive Engineer and other officials remained present.
