Haryana announces 9 pm – 5 am night curfew across state with immediate effect

All non-essential personnel and vehicle movements will not be stopped across the state during the restricted period, adding that the night curfew will stay in place till further orders.

New Delhi: Amidst scary spike of Coronavirus cases in Delhi and overall national numbers, Haryana govt on Monday announced night curfew between 9pm and 5am. The state govt has ordered night curfew with immediate effect.

It said that all non-essential personnel and vehicle movements will not be stopped across the state during the restricted period, adding that the night curfew will stay in place till further orders.

A day ago, Haryana health minister Anil Vij hinted at imposing night curfew in light of burgeoning number of Coronavirus cases.

He also hinted at cancelling leaves of medical staffs in the state to meet the challenging Covid-19 situation. He also informed the media that instructions were passed on to departments to prepare Covid dedicated hospitals to fight the menace, much like last year.
