New Dehli: A Twitter account ‘Infobug’ posted a video on the micro-blogging site Twitter, that went viral within a few hours. The clip showed hundreds of mask-less tourists, bathing and enjoying in Kempty waterfall, in hill station of Mussorie. Not just one but many clips of people holidaying at the hill station were shared by many Twitter handles.

What’s worrying and frightening is the clear disregard for Covid protocols. People can be seen gathering without masks while throwing social distancing to the wind.

Tourists in high numbers are flocking to the hills in large numbers to escape the heatwaves in the plains. A few days back many photos and videos were surfacing through the internet, of heavy crowds in the streets of Manali, without following any proper covid guidelines.

Now similar images are coming in light from hill stations like Mussoorie and Nanital in Uttranchal. Hotels in these places are all occupied, roads are jammed and there is a long queue of vehicles on the roads and highways.

Tourists are visiting various destinations after covid related regulations were resumed by Central and state governments, despite high possibilities of arrival of 3rd wave of covid in upcoming weeks.

The pics of maskless tourists bathing in Kempty received a lot of anger, people took to Twitter to show their concerns.
