Himachal Cloudburst: Flash flood horror in Dharamshala, NH blocked in Shimla
New Delhi: Flash floods in Himachal Pradesh have crippled normal life. An incident of cloudburst was reported in Dharamshala triggering a flood-like situation, the National Highway was blocked near Jhakri in the Rampur area of Shimla district following heavy rainfall. The process of clearing the road had begun with officials making their way to the site.
Himachal Pradesh has been receiving heavy rainfall for the last few days as the weather department predicted and issued an orange weather warning of heavy rains on July 12 and 13 and a yellow weather warning for July 14 and 15.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely today at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Gujarat Region, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh &Yanam, Telangana, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed yesterday.
