New Delhi: Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday visited a quarantine facility at Sarusajai area after receiving reports that Covid-19 patients were allegedly violating the protocols of treatment.
Sarma gave a strict warning to violators, who were not following the guidelines/protocols of Covid-19 Quarantine facility.
‘If you act smart, will convert this facility into jail’
According to reports, some people in the quarantine facility were reportedly making Facebook LIVE videos alleging bad food in the facility.
The health minister inspected the facility and told media persons that there was no question of any bad food being served as doctors and nurses too were having the same food as that of the patients.
The Minister also interacted with other people in the quarantine centre and said that underlined the importance of social distancing in fighting this menace.

He also had a word of advice – Don’t get frightened with baseless allegations of some mischievous elements.
Last week, Himanta Biswa Sarma told media that Assam has already broken the chain of coronavirus infection, as there was no case in the state, only quarantine centres had Corona+ cases.
