New Delhi: If you are someone who has recently changed your address and moved to a new city, then the very first thing that comes to your mind is to get your Aadhar card details updated. You can update your details by visiting the online portal and filling in your current details like your age, current address, contact number, gender pin code etc.
However, if you want to update your biometric information then you need to visit the Aadhar enrollment center and get them updated. You don’t need to submit any documents to change the picture.
How to change your address on the Aadhar Card online?
* First visit the UIDAI portal and log in to your account
* Now click on my Aadhar and select ‘update your Aadhar’ from the menu
* Then click on Proceed to update Aadhar
* Now enter your Aadhar card number and the captcha verification code
* Click on ‘send OTP’
* Now enter the OTP that you received and click on login
* You can now choose the demographic details that you want to update
* After you have made all the necessary changes, click on submit
* Now upload all the documents that are being asked for and click on ‘submit update request’
* You will now receive an update request number through text on your mobile phone.
* Do not delete this URN (Update Request Number)
* keep this number safely for tracking
How to check your update status?
You can check the status of your update request by visiting the site ‘myaadhar.uaidi.gov.in’ and then click on check enrollment and update status. After this you can enter your URN number and captcha to view the status of your request.
The Government has extended the date to update your aadhar card details till 14th december 2023. All those who have been waiting to get their Aadhar cards updated for a long time or for any other reason, then this is the chance for them to get it done before 14th of december.
You will be able to prevent yourself from being trapped in fraud cases if you get your details updated. Most cases of fraud happen due to the misuse of Aadhar card.
