New Delhi: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has significantly accelerated the development of Uttar Pradesh by building a record number of bridges, which is why he is known as the “Infrastructure Man of India.”
In a bid to further improve connectivity in Uttar Pradesh and make commuting congestion-free, the state government has, in the last 12 months, started construction work on 33 bridges, including 13 railway overbridges.
As a result of the continuous instructions and inspections being done from time to time by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, it is expected that most of these will be completed in 2023, after which traffic connectivity will accelerate further.
Most of the bridges being built in Ayodhya
The majority of these bridges, including those over the Ganga, Gomti, Sai, Tons, and other rivers, as well as ROBs at railway level crossings, are being constructed in Ayodhya.
The entire focus of the Yogi government is to make Ayodhya a world-class city. In such a situation, the construction of six new bridges is going on at a fast pace to provide better connectivity between the city of Lord Shri Ram and other districts of the state.
Similarly, foundation stones were laid for the construction of four bridges each in two important districts of Purvanchal— Jaunpur and Ballia, three in Pratapgarh, two each in Gorakhpur and Basti, one each in Bareilly, Bhadohi, Jhansi, Fatehpur, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Balrampur, Sonbhadra, Hardoi, Chitrakoot, Bulandshahr, and Jalaun.

2. Construction of bridge on Mriga river in Jalaun under Madhaugarh block
3. Construction of a bridge on the Sai river in Jaunpur, on the Kaivatli Karobir Rajapur Ghat road in the Badlapur area.
4. Construction of bridge over Kali river on Choudera Barkatpur road in Bulandshahr
5. Construction of bridge over Gedhua river on Bakta Buzurg to Pahadi Buzurg road in Chitrakoot
6. Construction of bridge on Arjunpur Badgaon road on Ramganga river in Hardoi
7. Construction of Rakhi Setu on river Renu in Sonbhadra near Obra thermal power
8. Construction of bridge on Mishr-Devdiha Ghat of Bahadurpur on Manorama river in Basti
9. Construction of a bridge on the river Kuano in Basti Sadar Vikas Khand Baijipurwa Ghar
10. Construction of bridge on Bakulahi river in Pratapgarh at Bahrapur Liloli Ghat in Vishwanathganj
11. Construction of bridge on Magahi river in Ballia on Katharia-Firozpur road of Sohaon
12. Construction of bridge near Chittabadgaon pucci court near Tons river Sohaon in Ballia
13. Construction of a bridge on Tejgarh Ghar of Chhatarpur Raitara Marg in memory of Martyr Kunwar Bahadur Singh under Vishwanathganj on the Sai river in Pratapgarh.

33. Construction of a 6-lane bridge from Transport Nagar to its erection in Gorakhpur via the Deoria Bypass and Tiraha towards Padalganj was completed, and 4 lanes were added towards the Deoria Bypass.
