New Delhi: In what comes a grim reminder of Ayesha case in Gujarat, a similar incident has been reported from Sambhal region of Uttar Pradesh. A woman from Chandausi region of Saambal district recorded a video of her harassment by her husband and in-laws and said that she will commit suicide if some help doesn’t come her way soon.
However, the Uttar Pradesh police acted well in time, reached out to the victim and cracked down on her tormentors. Sambhal Police lodged an FIR and booked 7 members of the family including her husband Shahnawaz.
UP’s Neha Naaz narrates her ordeal
Reciting the horror that she underwent at the hands of husband and in-laws, she says that she got married to Shahnawaz 6 years ago and a year later, she gave birth to a girl child.
However, her husband and in-laws were disappointed with this and started harassing her as they wanted a boy child.
Her video has gone viral on social media, sending shockwaves across the society.

Rs 10 lakh dowry demand by husband Shahnawaz
Naaz further says, she has been living at her father’s house for 15 months now and has no means to support her and daughter.
“My husband Shahnawaz has been demanding Rs 10 lakh in dowry from me. I told this to father, he passed away. He suffered heart attacked and expired 9 months ago,” she says in video.
“We have no means to serve our livelyhood. How can i pay hiim Rs 10 lakh?”, she says further.
Forced to abort child 2 times by in-laws
In the moving video, Naaz also goes on to reveal that she was forced to underwent abortion twice after her first girl child.
She says, “If something happens to me, my husband and brother in law Wasim Akhtar will be responsible for this. They are powerful people of the city”
“Want to commit suicide”, says Naaz
The woman, elaborating about her miserable condition says that she wants to commit suicide due to such harsh situation.
In the video, she has appealed to UP Yogi Adityanath to help her in such testing times.
Sambhal police lodges complaint against 7 men
After the video went viral, Sambhal police took cognizance of the event and lodged complaint under various sections. Police says the woman is safe and their protection.

Ayesha recorded ‘Suicide video’ before jumping in river
Days ago, Ayesha in Gujarat had killed herself by jumping in Sabarmati river, moments after she recorded a video. In the video, she shared her agony and pain inflicted on her by husband and her in-laws and what pushed her to take the extreme step.
