Hyderabad: Class 11 student dies by suicide in classroom, no note recovered

According to reports, the boy used a nylon rope to hang himself. Also, no suicide note was recovered from the incident site.

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old boy allegedly died by suicide inside his classroom in a school near Hyderabad on Tuesday. The student who was studying in Class 11, was found hanging in his class by his classmates.

According to reports, the boy used a nylon rope to hang himself. Also, no suicide note was recovered from the incident site.

Sources said the boy was preparing for competitive exams, but he went missing after the study hours ended at 10 pm. After a search was initiated, the body of the boy was found hanging in a classroom.

The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital by other students with the help of locals where he was declared brought dead.

Also, it is not yet clear on why the warden of the hostel did not arrange a vehicle.

According to one of the victim’s friends, the boy was under pressure to perform better in exams resulting in him taking this extreme step. On the other hand,  the family members of the victim staged a protest in front of the college, demanding justice.

After the incident, the school declared an unofficial holiday for two days and also sent the students home.

In the past few weeks, several suicide cases have been reported from Telangana, raising major concerns.

Earlier on Sunday, an engineering student hanged herself in Warangal after her personal photos were leaked by one of her friends.

In another incident, a postgraduate medical student also made an attempt to kill herself last December after allegedly being harassed by her seniors and died at a Hyderabad hospital on Sunday.
