Hyderabad horror: Hindu man beaten to death for marrying Muslim woman

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sridhar Redddy of Lal Bahadur Nagar said we have so far arrested two accused and also launched further investigation into the case. 

New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a man was bitten to death by her wife’s brother and his associates in Hyderabad on Wednesday night. The man was identified as Billapuram Nagaraju. In the latest development, the sister of the deceased, Ramadevi, alleged that the Mominpet police is responsible for the murder of her brother.

Talking to the media, Ramadevi said we received life threats from the girl’s family after her brother married a girl three months ago. We immediately filed a police complaint but ”I lost my brother” due to the negligence of the police.

Ramadevei also said, ”My brother was the only bread earner in the family. We are now alone and there is no one to take care of my family now. We demand justice.”

Reportedly, Nagaraju married a Muslim woman Syed Ashrin Sultana as they were in love and also collegemates in January 2022. Sultana turned to Pallavi after the marriage.

On the case, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sridhar Reddy of Lal Bahadur Nagar, said we have so far arrested two accused and also launched further investigation into the case.

The duo is the brother of Pallavi’s brother. He added they were arrested after the police formed special teams to nab other accused.

Both arrestees will be produced before the court.

ACP Reddy also said, ”The girl’s brother did not like his sister marrying a person of another faith. They thrashed him with a rod and knife. Owing to the serious injuries, Nagaraju died.”

When the incident happened, the couple was traveling on a bike in the Saroornagar area.
