“I didn’t speak anything anti-India”: Rahul Gandhi on his remarks in London

As he reached the Parliament for the second phase of the Budget Session, amid BJP demanding him to apologize, Rahul said that he did not say anything anti-India.

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been in a controversy for his speech at a seminar in London. As he reached the Parliament for the second phase of the Budget Session, amid BJP demanding him to apologize, Rahul said that he did not say anything anti-India. Gandhi also mentioned that he is ready to give an answer if he is allowed to speak in Parliament.

While leaving the Parliament after the session was adjourned, Gandhi answered the demand for an apology and said that if the Centre will allow him to speak in Parliament, then he will say what he thinks about his speech in London.

Both houses of the Parliament have been adjourned till 2 pm amid ruckus.

BJP has been demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi for saying that democracy is dying in India and for mentioning, what according to them are lies, Pegasus. BJP MPs have been creating a ruckus in Parliament and sloganeering to ask for an apology and on the other hand, the opposition is demanding a JPC on the Adani issue. This clash between the Centre and the opposition has led to Parliament not being able to function.

Ahead of today’s Parliament session, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju said that Rahul Gandhi is the person who speaks the most in the country and targets the government, and still mentions that he does not have the freedom to speak in India. He also called him to be a part of an ‘anti-India gang’.

On the other hand, Congress made it clear that as per them Gandhi did not say anything wrong, and party President Mallikarjun Kharge stated that they demand a discussion regarding a JPC probe on the Adani issue.
