‘If someone does tapasya…’: Salman Khurshid defends his remarks comparing Rahul Gandhi to Lord Ram

While talking to the press, Khurshid defended his previous remarks and said no one can be compared to God, but the people who walk on the path of God can be appreciated. He said that if someone does ‘tapasya’ (penance) for good work and if people see ‘maryada purushottam’, in someone, can’t we praise him? While defending his remarks, he used the title used for Lord Ram to refer to Rahul Gandhi’s acts.

Talking about Bharat Jodo Yatra he said that the march will enter Uttar Pradesh from Loni and go towards Baghpat. targeted BJP and said that they keep commenting on the ‘yatra’. He added that if they walk even two steps, they would understand the amount of courage it takes to do it.
