
New Delhi: An Indian Air Force MiG-21 fighter aircraft crashed near Moga in Punjab late last night. The aircraft was on a routine training sortie when the accident happened, said IAF officials on Friday.
The pilot of the MiG-21 reportedly ejected the aircraft before the crash, IAF sources said.
A Court of Inquiry (CoI) has been ordered to investigate the cause of the incident,” officials said.
“IAF condoles the tragic loss and stands firmly with the bereaved family,” Indian Air Force said.

This is the third crash of a MiG-21 aircraft this year.
