Indian student attacked by car robbers in Canada, dies after violent assault

Gurvinder Nath was violently attacked & assaulted by the carjacking gang who came armed & prepared to rob his car.

New Delhi: A 24-year-old Indian student, who recently moved to Canada, became the victim of a violent attack of car robbers who struck him in the dead of night, in a bid to plunder his car.

Gurvinder Nath was attacked by some carjackers, who came with an intention to steal his car, while the former was delivering pizza at 2:00 am (July 9) in Mississauga’s Britannia and Creditview Roads.

Many witnesses turned up for Gurvinder’s rescue and was even rushed to the nearby trauma centre but couldn’t survive. He succumbed to his injuries on July 14, the hospital authorities informed.

Gurvinder Nath was violently attacked & assaulted by the carjacking gang who came armed & prepared to rob his car. After grievously injuring him, the carjackers reportedly fled the scene with his car.

This may not be just an isolated case of carjacking incident as the police have not ruled out conspiracy angle behind this.

Investigators believe that multiple suspects planned & executed this act.

“They have obtained an audio recording of the Pizza Pizza order placed before the attack,” Inspector Phil King of Peel Regional Police’s Homicide Bureau said.

Canadian police, investigating the crime has found Gurvinder was an innocent victim. It said that there is no known connection between Gurvinder and his attackers.

The cops are also getting his car forensically examined and have launched a major hunt to nab the attackers.

Gurvinder’s moral remains are said to be flown back to India on July 27 with the help of Consulate General of India in Toronto.

Gurvinder arrived in Canada, just two years ago in 2021. Harboring desires of being a big businessman, he had moved to Canada and had just started his ‘dream journey’.
